segadores-y-soldados:

You know, one of the wildest realizations about the new Soldier: 76-Moira interaction is that, in retrospect, all his other interactions are him genuinely trying to be nice or funny.  When he actually wants to be angry, he gets angry.

Which means all his stuff like “War isn’t a game” and “I thought I was, until I met you” was actually him trying to nice but his voice has been shot through a woodchipper and then set on fire so he can’t change his tone to save his life.

The next realization from this is that Soldier: 76 doesn’t actually blame Reaper for the fall of Overwatch, nor are any of his interactions with Reaper “genuinely angry.”

76 does blame Moira, but oddly enough, he never actually says anything like that to Reaper.

Like take this:

Soldier: 76: You were a disgrace to Overwatch.  If I had known what [you] had been planning, I would never have allowed it.

And compare that to:

  • Soldier: 76: Aren’t you supposed to be dead?
  • Reaper: Didn’t take.
  • Soldier: 76: One of these days someone is gonna to put an end to you.
  • Reaper: I invite them to try.
  • Soldier: 76: Well. You sure take to this ‘bad guy’ thing easily, don’t ya?
  • Reaper: And you sure know how to play ‘boy scout’.

Like.  He’s not even mad.  He even laughs in the third one.

I mean…it’s not my idea of flirting but…different strokes for different folks?
