So instead, McCree was raised by Reyes and wants to find Atlantis to honor his memory and Jack, old friend of Gabriel, wants to fulfill the promise he made to him all those years ago. I have tears in my eyes just thinking of this scene with Whitmore in front of his large fireplace, thinking about his old friend, and picturing Jack in his place).
