Sadly, Mondatta was killed by Widowmaker during her capture. Both human and omnic form were eliminated. His death touched many, but none as much as his student, Zenyatta who decided to treasure his memory by taking over his duties at Overwatch and offer the same support that Mondatta had.
Mondatta’s grave is on a nice grassy hill by the ocean just outside of Overwatch and everynight, a single flower is left on the grave.
