Man, it would be nice to find a needlework shop in town that has an employee or two that’s my age that I could talk to….
Idk, but every single one seems to be staffed by 60-70 year old ladies, and while they’re very nice and willing to help me find stuff in the store, I just don’t want to talk to them
I always feel like they’re judging me for even being in there, or like “what the hell is this 20-something year old doing here, clearly she’s here to steal something or mess up the store or she’s not really interested and is just bored/looking around” (which is ridiculous i know they’re probably not thinking that but uuughhhh)
Idk I’d like to tell them about this project I’m working on and maybe get some advice, but I feel like they either would have no idea what the hell I’m trying to do, or they’d be no help at all in narrowing down ideas, or they’d tell me that what I’m attempting to do is impossible for my age/skill level/in the realm of physics and I probably shouldn’t do it
At least if there was one employee who was my age, I’d feel like I have a better chance at communicating/connecting with them and I wouldn’t feel like such a newbie :S
