It kinda blew my mind to learn today that “thou” was actually an informal form, and “you/ye” was the fancy one
Now whenever I see “thou” I read it in a tone kinda like “y’all” in tumblr posts and like… 1600s bible verses were supposed to be perfectly frank, not stilted. this changes everything………..

Okay but like actually this is the most thoughtful gift IN THE WHOLE WORLD.
It might seem to make more sense to give Ron the precious family heirloom (remember that Molly’s brother Fabian died in the First Wizarding War; Molly has held onto his watch out of sentimentality since then). But Ron is the sixth son in his (canonically financially-struggling) family. He’s been forced into hand-me-downs his whole life. If he’d gotten the watch with a dent in the back, he wouldn’t have appreciated it; he’d only have seen the flaw. And if his mum bought Harry a new watch instead of getting Ron one, Ron would have resented that. A new watch was a worthwhile expense to get Ron a rare taste of the luxury and individual attention he has always craved.
Harry, though. Harry has money; Harry has new things. What Harry does not have is family. Harry is an orphan. Other than one photo album and the invisibility cloak, he doesn’t have anything that came with family history attached. What Molly does here is give him that; she makes him part of the family, symbolically, by giving him an emotionally significant if physically imperfect item. She gives him love in a tangible form.

So we all know that the turning point was season 3, but Im wondering why exactly. What made him think, “huh maybe my feelings are more serious than jst playful flirting, or trying to get a kiss? Maybe Allura means alot more to me then just a pretty face”

ahhh im crying Everyone else was looking up at the castle completely dumbstruck, but Lance was already doubled over, in full regret mode. (and we know how hard he is on himself)
What could have been going on in his head?? Why did I waste so much time flirting? I knew she didnt like it. I could have spent that time getting to know her… asking about her father and mother and homeplanet. I could have been friends with her. I could have not been annoying. I could have….. I could have….

So yeah I think it’s safe to say that was the turning point, because from then on we stopped getting looks like this
so I was talking to the polish guy and because I didn’t know how to say ‘I’m going to the shops’ i guessed and said idę na sklepy and he started laughing but didn’t correct me so when it next came up I had to use the same phrase which made him laugh again and I finally asked him today what was the correct way to say it and why did he find it amusing and he said that to him idę na sklepy means kind of ‘I am going to conquer the shops!’ and that he imagined me standing on the shops refusing entry to people because I was controlling the shops and he said the reason he didn’t correct me was because he thought it was an interesting way of saying ‘I’m going to the shops’ and he didn’t want me to stop and that he wanted it to take off in poland
