I have read (and see) something about Hades and Persephone having chickens in the underworld, but this is really a fact or is something invent?
Chickens were indeed sacred to Hades and Persephone and an example of this are the terracotta votive tablets from Locri -the ones of the pictures-. There are some books about this subject like Iconography of Religions by Bianchi or Locrian Maidens by Redfield.
The cock/chicken “became the chthonic bird, and was used on tombs, as emblematic of the hope of a reawakening to life”. (Peters) and it is also refered as “an infernal animal of passage” by Bernabe in his book Instructions for the Netherworld: the orphic gold tablets.He also says: ”Cocks allude to the world of the afterlife: as intermediaries between the soul and the Beyond, they intercede between the world of the dead and that of the living”.
Remember Persephone was the goddess of renewal, so at least in Locri, the cock was an usual attribute of her. And in other cultures cocks-chickens were seen as animals related to renewal and life (eggs have that symbolism tooo).

It’s hard to tell what he’s specifically upset about because mostly he just throws things around, tries to kill Mike with extreme prejudice and screams DIE and REVENGE and CHILTON in everybody’s heads when they get too close, but it’s pretty clear who he’s haunting.
Unique Vintage– Highly priced but that’s because it’s great quality. My go-to if I can treat myself.
Collectif– UK based but they carry some of the same things as Unique Vintage and Modcloth at MUCH lower prices. Even with the shipping costs to America it sometimes still comes out lower! The one pitfall is that if you need to return something, it’s very expensive on your end if you live outside the UK. Plan to keep what you buy.
Smak Parlour – I’ve been watching them grow and they’re doing a great job. I bought one of their dresses because I was a fan and then they offered to collab with me to showcase another dress of my choosing! Excellent quality. Run by strong feminists. Especially perfect if you love peter pan collars!
6 pm (for discounted Unique Vintage) – This is a general discount site. It’s legit and I love it. You have to keep checking back to see what new items come in but I once found a dress from Unique Vintage there that had originally been $110 at just $30!
Modcloth – I haven’t bought from them in a while but I used to get a lot of things from there. Not everything there is 50′s themed, but if you dig through you can find some gems. The quality is a gamble according to the reviews but I was pleased with everything I got.
Also, if you are into fit and flare dresses, or swing dresses, get yourself a petticoat. It makes SUCH a difference in shaping. This one in particular is a cost effective option and is fantastic quality. I’m so happy with it. It’s SO poofy!
Lastly, there are plenty of cute stretch belts on ebay and most are just $5-$10. I have several different colors. Pop one on and it gives any body shape a great silhouette, pair that with a petticoat and YES, your 50′s goddess quest is complete!
