i am a grown ass woman, an academic, a published researcher, a criminologist, i even pay taxes and have a lease on a comfortable but reasonably priced sedan, but the second i see the number “69″ in any context its like i’m being possessed by the spirit of every 13 year old boy worldwide simultaneously. the lizard brain frantically slams the shutdown button on my reasonable mental processes with manic glee and the word ‘nice’ is out of my mouth quicker than a wildfire during a drought

i just wanna say that…there is a special spot in hell reserved for people who go to places where poverty stricken families are likely to show up…like say, the food bank, or the food stamp office…and leave religious tracts disguised as 100 dollar bills on the ground.

God’s not going to reward you for taunting and shaming the poor. In fact I’m pretty certain being uncharitable is one of those things that got you smite’d in the old testament.

hey an update to this, you also go to hell if you leave these as tips for your servers.

It counts as deception, defrauding, dishonesty, being uncharitable, being high-minded (haughty, arrogant), withholding the truth, and if we wanted to get real deep at the soul, HYPOCRISY, because you’re chastising them for a “love of money” when you love and hoard your money so hard you couldn’t even part with a dollar tip and instead left fake money to trick them while you make your escape you shifty fuck.

Hey actually I have one MORE thing to say and that’s this:

If you’re dropping this specific tract at places where poor families are likely to be, that adds an extra layer of shittiness to an already shitty thing to do.

Like on top of the fact that you’re raunting poor people with fake money, the fact that you have the absolute gall to use Christs words about the rich is utterly fucking appalling, because you dropped it in a place you know no rich people are gonna be.

The people that pick these up aren’t rich, and you know it.

They don’t pick them up out of greed, and you know it.

That’s WHY you dropped them in the parking lot of a food stamp office, a grocery store in a poor part of town, a food bank, the free clinic.

It was to ensure someone who desperately needs money would see it and pick it up, so you could then chastise them for greed.

You’d better haul ass to Church buddy because every time you drop one of these you wrack up a receipt of sins longer than my arm.

I hate these things.

I hate the people who make ‘em.

And especially those who do shit like this.

I don’t know why people do this. It’s not like it’s going to bring anyone who gets one of these pieces of shit any closer to god. If anything, it would move me further from him. Look at those people flaunting their money, then leaving less than nothing for a tip, especially since their server was excellent… disgusting.

When I was a waitress, I always hated people who did this. Because inevitably, they’d be the ones so friendly, chatting with you, and just lovely people. And then they leave, and that’s on the table.

Shitty thing to do. SMDH.

Just a head’s up, when meat eaters say things like “I’m glad you’re not like most vegans you’re cool about it” what they really mean is “I’m glad you’re silent about animal cruelty so I can eat animals without having to think about it.”

No actually what they likely mean is “I’m glad you’re not like PETA and compare women’s bodies to beef and pork” or “I’m glad you’re not the type of asshole who blames poor people for not being able to afford healthy vegan foods instead of getting upset at the grocery chains who throw out tons and tons of perfectly good produce”

see also: “im glad youre not one of those vegans who compares the meat industry to the holocaust”. anti-semetic, sexist, racist, and classist rhetoric is unfortunately quite common among vegans and it’s disingenuous as hell to act like having an issue with that is silencing vegans.

Also “I’m glad you aren’t one of those vegans who thinks I should put my health on the line”

“I’m glad you don’t harass me over my life choices because you’re a decent fucking human being who realizes that throwing humans under the bus so you can have an ego trip is a shitty thing to do”
