I was initially going to write a 5 paragraph essay on why Shikamaru deserves to be called Naruto’s best friend, stating down all his feats and sacrifices, just to prove why you’re absolutely right, but I decided to leave it with this:
He was on the brink of death and still all he could think about was Naruto.
