I like the “plays for the other team” entendre because it implies that asexual people play for no team. We merely watch from the stands, confused by the world of sports, just like I do in real life.
And everyone playing is trying to get you to play, too, because how can you not be interested?! Everyone loves sports!

In German we say “vom anderen Ufer”, from the other shore, so…. are aces just sittin’ in their boats, rowing gently down the stream?
Aces aren’t into sport although a few don’t mind watching gymnastics or playing pingpong with someone they like to once in a while 🙂 (They’re also merpeople – occasionally, they want to walk on the shore, but mostly they’re happy to stay in the water)
