I still want to know what evolutionary advantage there is to having eyes at the end of head-arms.

Hams are excellent hunters of the flap flaps.

Having a wide head spreads out the ampullae of lorenzini (how charks detect electric fields in the water from living things, and well, cameras.) the wider the spread of the ampullae the better the ham is at detecting tasty, tasty flap flaps hidden under the sand.

BEEP BEEP BEEP I’M DETECTING!

Ham’s also have very good 360 vision with a wide overlap of both eyes in the front, at much as 32 degrees, leading to excellent stereoscopic vision and depth perception to catch and hunt fast moving prey. ^u^

Hams are excellently adapted for their environment and prey items!  Have a Ham-tastic day 8D
