aaaand because im predictable af: jesse mccree, formerly part of the deadlock kaiju smuggling ring, gets drafted for ranger training because he knows a ridiculous amount about kaiju anatomy in the first place because he’s been inside them. turns out he’s drift compatible with commander reyes, who hasnt drifted with anyone since he and jack were in the super soldier program. they pilot havoc whiskey and everyone is slightly scared by how well they drift 99% of the time
