I live for Bruce totally brushing off shit-bag reporters who try to bring up his parent’s to get a reaction from him for their story.
“Mr Wayne? What do you think your parents would say about this fundraiser, if they were still alive? Do you think they’d be proud of you?”
“They would probably say that the line for the desserts is looking particularly short right now” and he just…. walks away and grabs some ice cream. There he goes
His kids absolutely do the same thing too
“Mr Grayson! The anniversary of your parent’s death is coming up, what would you say to them, if you could.”
“That I DEFINITELY finished cleaning my room and there is no reason to go check.”
“Jason, hey kid! These gala’s are pretty big right? What do you think your parents would say if they were here?”
“Probably that there are too many asshole reporters here.” The reporter looks so affronted and stalks away and Bruce probably shouldn’t be encouraging a thirteen year old swearing at adults but damn if the results aren’t effective.
“Mr Drake? Do you think, if your parents were here, that they would support this charity?”
“Do I think that they would support the charity that they helped start before I was born? Did you even google their names, ‘Drake’ is literally in the name of the charity.”
Bruce starts to notice a worrying trend.
Cass likes to ask the reporters questions.
“Cassandra, sweetheart, you look gorgeous, who are you wearing?”
“I don’t know, who are you wearing, sweetheart?” She likes to glare at them as they stammer and inevitably walk away, slightly confused.
She goes over to Bruce and gives him a fist bump. Bruce smiled.
At least this time she didn’t throw any shoes.
A reporter with no self preservation tries to talk to Damian about a month after he first came to Gotham.
“Hey- Hey kid! I want to ask you a question.” says the fool, running up to Damian. Bruce tenses up and starts to move to intercept them, but Dick, standing next to him shakes his head.
Damian says nothing, just staring at the reporter with an eyebrow raised haughtily.
“Tell us what it’s like to live in Wayne Manor. It must be real different than what you’re used to, huh?” dumbass says with a smirk on his face.
“Hm, not really. Although there are more reporters than I’m used to wearing ties that don’t match that ask stupid questions.” Damian says
Bruce turns to Dick, who is failing spectacularly at hiding his laughter.
“You couldn’t have told him to say no comment?” Bruce asks, who is much more successful than Dick at hiding his amusement.
“Of course not, he has to uphold the family tradition!” Dick says through laughter.
