I have a story I’m writing in my head and currently there are two different endings for the character

One is where he dies in a tragic fashion without being able to complete his life goals (and mildly serve as a parallel to another character and as the male equivalent of putting a woman in the freezer for male superhero origin stories…)

The other is that he lives and does get to go home and do what he said he was going to do with his life, so everyone gets a happy ending (because I’m a gd sucker for happy endings and I love this character and there’s far too many stories where the characters die at the end/not enough happy ending everyone lives stories outside of fanfic…)

And now I can’t decide which one I like better to use 😥
