we need to talk about CARVE THE MARK. and the authors that wont listen.

Maybe you’ve seen this book around. CARVE THE MARK is the new book by Veronica Roth, author of DIVERGENT, and extremely racist. For weeks now people of color have been speaking up about this. x x It features extremely racist portrayals of black-coded people as savage aggressors. But time and time again youll notice white people on social media who say they’ll check for themselves instead of listening to POC.

This time it happens to be an author who has their history of writing racist books x x x x x 

I think you guys are smart enough to understand that as a white man, there is no way he’d be able to do that.

its so important to speak up, to share, to warn, to review. dont wait for somebody else to do it. they’re not going to.
